Dropshipping in India is done differently from how it happens around the world in the sense that in the Indian Dropshipping scenario, the very essence of dropshipping is lost since most e-commerce giants in India do ‘stockshipping’ rather than dropshipping. 

Whereas stockshipping is yet another supply chain method but instead of having to do away with inventory, it more or less involves inventory management and other logistics related to warehousing and ends up taking the usual and longer route of the supply chain.
